Pokemon Trading Card Game: A Childhood Hobby That is Back in Style

I was very surprised to hear that the craze of collecting Pokemon cards was back.  I told myself that I was not going to get pulled back into it, however, my dad just happened to find some of my cards that survived our house fire.  (Might Make a Separate Blog With What He Found)

When I jumped on google to see what the sets looked like now, I fell in love with the artwork that I saw.  Come to think about it, it was my sister who bought me my first "newer" sets of Pokemon cards for a birthday gift this past year:

Then, I had seen several YouTubers and people on Twitch mentioning "dollar store" packs, so, I happened to have luck at a local dollar tree.  To clarify, I have had no luck since finding this many "dollar" packs.  I am glad I had bought them when I saw them:

There were over a 100 packs and this was the best, and only, pull from these Unified Minds 3 card packs:

My sister also surprised me randomly one night when she came home from the local Dave N' Busters with packs of Cosmic Eclipse....if only she or I had known how popular that set would become even a few months later:

I don't remember which newer set got me hooked, but I know that the Japanese sets have easily become my favorites to collect. I have also won several contests on Twitter that have helped me in collecting more of these beautiful pieces of cardboard.

My sister and I even bought each other card sets for Christmas....and the unbelievable happened....

My first ever 25th Anniversary Celebrations pack:

My sister's first Shining Fates pack from a Boltund Collection box:

....and her LAST PACK MAGIC from that same box:

I may eventually work on a "pack art" piece because I love the artwork on the packs just as much as I enjoy the art on the actual cards.  Also, if anyone would like to see me open different set packs as YouTube shorts, let me know.  I can figure that out and make it happen!

Have a great New Year and there will slowly be more to come from me through various creative outlets.  God bless you all for the continued support!!
